A lottery is supposed to determine which Canucks fans lined up at Rogers Arena will be able to get ticket to Game 7. But not everyone who’s waiting actually wants to see the game.
“Game 5, there were only maybe about 50 people and most of them were homeless people employed by scalpers,” says Leo, who’s been waiting in line since about 7 a.m.
He thinks it’s unfair he has to compete with scalpers. “For them to employ a bunch of people… it kind of sucks. They’ve already got their hands on lots of tickets, and these ticket releases are meant to give to die-hard fans who’ve waited it out.”
