Michael MarionPresident, Fans First
General Manager, Verizon Arena, Little Rock, AR
Michael Marion has been the General Manager of the Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, AR for almost 15 years. He assisted in the design and construction of the arena, as well as the booking and management of the arena when it opened in 1997. In 2004, Michael was named Pollstar Magazine’s Facility Executive of the Year.

Michael previously worked as Director of the Tupelo Coliseum in Tupelo, MS, where he presented such artists as Tom Petty, the Eagles, and Reba. Prior to that, Michael worked as an agent for Triad Artists in Los Angeles. Michael received an MBA from Mississippi State University in 1978. Upon graduation, he worked as a Program Advisor at MSU, booking such artists as Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Earth, Wind and Fire.

Randy Levy – Treasurer, Fans First
President, Rose Presents, Minneapolis, MN
Randy Levy has been a concert/event promoter in Minneapolis since 1969. His events include the Soundset Festival (soundsetfestival.com), the largest independent hip hop festival in USA, along with approximately 50 arena and club events annually in the Minnesota/upper Midwest area.

Randy has worked with artists, including Frank Sinatra, KISS, Willie Nelson, Warp Tour, The Eagles, Moody Blues, Sheryl Crow, Rob Zombie, Steely Dan, among others. He owns WE Fest, the largest country music and camping event in USA (wefest.com) and High Plains Festival (highplainsfest.com) a bluegrass/jam band, electronica, roots rock festival. Both events are located in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Randy trained under German Event impresario, Abe Schon from 1969 to 1985. From 1985 to 1991, Randy partnered with Michael Cohl. Since 1991, he has been an independent operator of concert events.

David Balcer – Secretary, Fans First
Director of Ticketing, Target Center, Minneapolis, MN
David Balcer began his ticketing career with the Dallas Burn (MLS) in 2000 where he assumed the role of assistant ticket and merchandising manager for the franchise that played their home games at the historic Cotton Bowl. In September of 2001, he moved on to American Airlines Center located in downtown Dallas, home to the Stars (NHL), Mavericks (NBA), and then Desperados (AFL). With a little over one year of ticketing experience under his belt, he assumed responsibility for all events taking place not only at the new state-of-the-art arena, but Reunion Arena as well. In five years at American Airlines Center/Reunion Arena, David was an integral part of the success of over 200 annual events. In August of 2006, he accepted his current role as Director of Ticketing for Target Center where he currently oversees all ticket operations for the AEG managed facility. In 2007, he was selected by AEG to assist in the grand opening of AEG’s O2 Arena in London.

William L. Traurig, Esq., CPA, MBA – Member, Fans First
Senior Vice President and General Counsel, NHL Carolina Hurricanes and the PNC Arena
William is Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes and the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. He is responsible for managing all legal matters of the Hurricanes and PNC Arena and serves as a legal consultant to the organization’s affiliated entities as well as the liaison between the organization and its outside counsel. William is actively involved in government relations and directs the Hurricanes’ lobbying efforts. Additionally, William is responsible for the accounting and tax management of the entire organization and the financial management of all aspects of PNC Arena operations, including food service, parking, merchandise and box office.

Prior to his current position he served in a variety of venue management capacities including Assistant General Manager, Director of Legal Affairs, Finance Director, Business Manager, Box Office Manager, and Assistant Box Office Manager.

William serves on the Council for the Sports & Entertainment Law division of the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Travel and Tourism Coalition. He is also a member of the Sports Lawyers Association, the Sports & Entertainment Law division of the American Bar Association, as well as the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the International Association of Venue Managers.
